LegalKraft respects the privacy of individuals who use the LegalKraft website (www.legalkraft.pl) or services or who communicate with LegalKraft by e-mail or other electronic means.

The Privacy Notice applies to LegalKraft as data controller.

In the event that our website includes hyperlinks to other websites neither owned nor managed by us, please note that LegalKraft is not associated with these third-party websites and does not review their privacy policies or privacy notices. We cannot guarantee the privacy of any information that may be obtained by third parties at these other websites. What information is being collected and how is it being collected?

We collect personal information, which is defined as any information that may be used to identify an individual. If we link other data with your personal information, we will treat that linked data as personal information.

LegalKraft collects the following personal information provided to us by you through our Website (including use of cookies), or other interactions, including e-mails to any LegalKraft e-mail address, online forms, as well as from third parties such as your employer and public sources (such as public search engines or public registers):

  • organisation and title

  • date of birth
  • personal identification number

  • correspondence between LegalKraft’s representatives and you, including e.g. personal correspondence as well as event invitations and other promotional communication

Why is personal information being collected?

We process the data to perform mandatory investigations regarding conflicts of interest and (when applicable) money laundering, to perform and administer the assignment, look after your interests and also for accounting and invoicing purposes. If you represent a legal entity having entered into an engagement letter with LegalKraft, the processing is based on the fact that it is necessary for purposes concerning a third party’s (the legal entity’s) justified interest to obtain legal advice. If you, as a natural person, enters into an engagement letter with LegalKraft, the processing is made based on the fact that it is necessary in order to fulfil the agreement to which you are a party.

 

What is the legal basis for collecting personal information?

We collect and process personal information on the following legal bases:

  • processing is based on consent received by you for one or more of the above purposes;
  • processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which you or a company that you work for are/is a party to or in order to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract;
  • processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which LegalKraft is subject to;
  • processing is necessary in order to protect your vital interests;
  • processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by LegalKraft or by a third party.

How long will the personal information be retained for?

We will retain your personal information as needed to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, fulfill our contractual obligations, comply with our legal obligations, comply with statutory and regulatory requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. LegalKraft encourages all individuals who provide personal information to LegalKraft to keep their personal information accurate and up to date. Personal information may in many cases be updated by an individual online.
